With all the attention to The Social Network it would be a crying shame if one of its most impressive elements went overlooked because it was too good. The special effects that transformed Armie Hammer from one actor to two were truly stunning. The effects branch could go with typically cartoony work from something like Clash of the Titans or it can pick some artists that did what the craft is supposed to do and so rarely achieves, namely, convince people they're not watching effects at all.
