2011 Superlatives: Best Cameo Performance
And now, for the final 2011 Superlative of the year, I give you the Alfred Molina Award. Based on Molilna's one legendary scene in Boogie Nights this award is presented to the actor who made the made the biggest impression despite having only a single scene to work with.
and the award goes to...
Adrien Brody for Midnight in Paris
In a film filled with delights ranging from Corey Stoll's Hemingway to Michael Sheen's gasbag to Owen Wilson baffling poor Luis Bunuel, it is Adrien Brody's brief, daffy turn as Salvador Dali that put the biggest smile on my face. Honestly, I think I would have liked the film just as much if it was just an hour and a half of him lovingly pronouncing the word "rhinoceros" over and over again.
