Long Live The King
As everyone knows, and as I predicted it might, this week Vertigo dislodged Citizen Kane from its throne atop the Sight & Sound list of the Greatest Films of All Time for the first time in half a century. I was going to write a lengthy essay about why I supported that decision but I decided better to let the film speak for itself.

All beautiful choices and you didn't even include the sequoia bark scene ("here I was born...") this movie is such an embarrassment of riches.
ReplyDeleteMy original intention was to grab 5 shots, but I ended up grabbing something like two dozen including the scene you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteThe only way to do it justice would to be to post the whole film
